  10. The band, Son of the Soil comprises of Lead Vocalist/Guitarist Zafar Amin, Bassist Bill Steppe and Drummer Greg Riggs. This is no ordinary combination; an indie punk rock band with Zafar born in Pakistan while Bill and Greg are both natives of Orange County.

Son of the Soil considers themselves to be an “All American Band” that stands for universal ideals. Their debut album, “Born Free” depicts these ideals in their music and graphics. Songs like TV Warriors, New York and No Easy Answers express their view of the world. The CD packaging contains stamps from around the world; illustrating their desires to communicate and affect the youth of the world in a positive manner.
